Damo using a Silver Eagle Cooling T in Belgium
Any competitor will tell you that if you can find even the smallest advantage that can give you an edge against the rest, than it’s worth using. I’d been searching for something that would help keep me cool inside my leathers for the hot events of the year like Spain, Belgium and the all time killer Japan.
My Dad came across a product called a “Moisture Transport T” and decided to order one for me to give it a try and see if it helped. I was keen to try anything after struggling with hot conditions in the previous race in Spain, so after the good people at Silver Eagle Outfitters Australia offered to send me one to try, I didn’t need to be asked twice! The very next race was the 6hour in Zolder, Belgium, and let me tell you, it was bloody hot. I used the Moisture Transport Tee in the 1st session of practice and found it comfortable right from the off. I came in off the bike feeling good, but never really gave much credit to the Tee. It wasn’t until I rode a session without it that I really noticed the difference it made. Particularly in vented leathers, the cooling tee helped a lot, and I’ve used it every time since. Even in the humid heat of the Suzuka 8hour race in Japan, the vest truly made a difference. I want to thank the gang at Silver Eagle Outfitters for letting me try the product, and most of all, for keeping me cool!
