On Friday Morning a real good mate of mine "Porno" Pete Burgess was tragically killed in a freak traffic accident on his motorcycle.

Whilst riding with friends and other mates of mine, a spinning out of control van driver slid into the direct path of 3 riders in the group. All 3 were injured, but Porno lost his life.

From what I hear, it's only a miracle that Matt and Mason are still with us.

I can't tell you how shocked I was when I heard the news, or how angry I was that something like this has taken such a good bloke away from us. I still can't believe it.

I first met Porno about 2 years ago whilst at a ride day at Phillip Island. Porno and the "Fossil" crew were all down at the Island for a ride and a good time, so later that night my brother Alex and I had dinner with the whole gang. Plenty of Beer and Shananigans followed as the weekend became one of legend...

From then on Me and Al were part of the Fossil crew, even though we were a little more youthful than most existing members, and many a ride day/ drink night followed.

Whilst teaching at Circuit Breakers Race Schools I used to help him with his riding, whilst he'd entertain us with his wild stories of how he obtained the nickname "Porno". He was such a great character to have around that you'd really notice the difference when he wasn't at a school.

Porno was the guy that made my website happen and although he was so busy with real work, he always had the time to help me with bits and pieces and share a good story or two on the phone.

I spoke to Porno the day before he died and that's exactly how I last talked to him, hanging up the phone still laughing.

I still don't understand why these things happen to such good people, but I guess it was just his time to go. I think it just shows that when your number's up, your number's up, and that we've all got a clock ticking. That's why I believe you've really gotta make the most of your time while your here, as you never what's around the corner...

At least I can be sure that Porno made the most of his.
