Cudlin getting ready for the 'Road'

Aussie Damian Cudlin will be among the headliners competing in the “Battle of the Streets” at Paeroa in New Zealand on the weekend. The Endurance Ace currently racing in the New Zealand Superbike Championship will take to the streets aboard the potent Bernard Motorsports Yamaha R1.

Competing in a Street Race for the first time Cudlin is eagerly anticipating his ‘Road’ debut and is pleased to get his team mates off his back.

"Racing on the street is something I haven't done before but I'm looking forward to the experience. I've watched the footage from last years event and it looked like a blast so I decided to give it go. Plus I think I realised I'd never hear the end of it from my team mates if I didn't "Man Up!"

"Riding the fast Bernard R1 Superbike at a race track is one thing, but wrestling it around on the streets will be something else... I can't wait."

Cudlin is expected to have fierce competition from Road specialists Stroud and Shirrifs along with fellow Aussie Gareth Jones.

The “Battle of the Streets” will be held at Paeroa on Sunday 17th February.
