L-R, Wolf, Al and Damo So here's the last update I'll be able to post until after the race in Zolder. It's hard getting online while I'm at the circuit so I've been lugging a lap top around with me this trip. I signed up to this internet account set up that does dial-up and wireless, but I can't get it working over here and I've gotta admit I'm hopeless with computers..... Lucky I can ride a motorbike.
So with that in mind, I thought I'd fill you in a bit while I can use my mates internet connection! Last week was spent in Birmingham at my mate Wolf's place. Birmingham was a blast and me and Al had a heap of fun hangin out there. I'm sure I'll be back again next time I'm in the UK. With a load of new mates, we thoroughly examined 99% of the bars and clubs Birmingham had to offer. We came to the conclusion "Mechu" was the bar of choice with the best Mojito cocktails and friendliest bar staff. The boys enjoying a couple of quiet ones. On our final night there, one lucky lady got to wear my last Mojito when I was slammed into whilst busting a robot move on the dancefloor. Al backed me up to face the moron who knocked it everywhere, as we realised Wolf was our accidental attacker. Must've knocked me as he tried the difficult helicopter manouver. During the night I also managed to get a large order for Wolf's latest money spinner....... Dildo's. That's right our man recently bought 640 of them for some record cheap price and is selling them off individually for 4pound a pop. Al being wacked with the merchandise while sleeping... I approached the biggest lesbian I could find, and within 10mins I had an order of one of each of the 7 different models he had available. She told me she wore her last one out..... Who does that? Geez, she'd better use Energizers in these puppies! Was so funny... Gotta say a big thanks to Wolf and Tony for having us, we had a ball. Saturday we drove to London to meet up with Damian Rowley (Phase One Junior Rider). We hitched a ride with him to Somerset where my team are based. On the way we stopped at Stonehenge for a quick pic. That was pretty cool and a bit spooky looking to be honest, it's in the middle of a paddock with no other big rocks in sight....... weird. L-R, Damo, Al and Rowley at Stonehenge Phase One had a bit of a BBQ for everyone as they prepared everything for the next race in Belgium. It was nice to see everyone in a relaxed atmosphere and just have a quite beer with the guys. On a sad note, one team member that wasn't present at the BBQ was my old mate Ken. Ken sadly passed away on Friday after suffering a major heart attack. Russell (my team boss) made a toast to Ken during the BBQ and I believe we'll be doing something as a tribute to Ken at the next race. Afterwards we headed back to Rowleys place and crashed there the night. Damo at the Phase One Work Shop Next day we just made our way back to Ray's place, which is where we are now. Ray is coming with us this time to Zolder, so we are going to do a bit of a roadtrip and drive to Belgium. Should be good. I'm really looking forward to the trip and the next race, just can't wait to thrash my bike again! Hopefully it all goes to plan and we can post another strong result. Finger's crossed! Will report again after the race, unless I can get someone to fix my computer. All the best, Damo. |
